The Minnesota State University Moorhead Planetarium serves as the home for most of the Fargo-Moorhead Astronomy Club monthly meetings and many public astronomy programs.
The planetarium offers approximately five different shows for the general public each year. Groups may choose the current public show of one from the planetarium's growing collection of shows. Most of the planetarium shows are about 45 minutes long, except for shows designed for pre-schoolers which run 20-25 minutes. The planetarium can seat up to 62 people and serves approximately 10,000 visitors annually.
The Fargo-Moorhead Astronomy Club hosts most of its monthly meetings at the planetarium. We also support the planetarium's public events by providing telescopes and club members for public viewing events.
Clear Sky Clock (Astronomy Weather Forecast)
The Clear Sky Clock is the astronomers' forecast. It shows at a glance when, in the next 48 hours, we might expect clear and dark skies for one specific observing site. For more explanation of this chart please visit the Clear Sky Clock.
